The cottage includes a lounge with french doors leading to a private garden and a fully appointed kitchen. The Tam o'Shanter bedroom boasts a 4 poster bed and themed furnishings in and the cottage has a second twin bedroom.

The tale of Tam o'Shanter is one of Burn's most famous poems alongside A Red, Red Rose and an Ode to a Haggis, recited across the world every year on Burns night. In 2009 Burns was voted as the Greatest Scot and his bithplace, a few doors from Alloway Cottage, now forms part of the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, a must visit for anyone with a passion for the works of the bard.
